CAMPUSKEY MEETS SCHOON EATERY
Iconic Schoon Eatery opens its 8th eatery in South Africa in the brand new CampusKey Bordeaux building, located in the heart of Stellenbosch. The new space aims to be a welcoming hub and enhance a sense of community between students, club members, innovators, and freelancers in the neighbourhood.
The ample open industrial space with many windows and concrete columns has been given a casual and cosy appearance by implementing CampusKey’s signature pop of bright colours combined with abundant natural light and a moody industrial edge.
According to owners Chanelle and Fritz Schoon, this will not only be a great meeting place for coffee and a pastry, “We will have local beer & kombucha on tap along with a special selection of wines. We have specially developed a Schoon burger for CampusKey. In addition to that, we will have our current menu on offer, retail items, and a few signature loaves and our pastries.”
For Schoon, the mission is to put real bread back on the table, and today’s students are the leaders of tomorrow. “We want to allow students to make better decisions regarding food choices, their impact on the environment through sustainable agriculture,” says Fritz.
Leon Howell, Managing Director of CampusKey says “The sharing of food has brought people together since the beginning of time. It’s how we make friends, nurture relationships, celebrate milestones, and feel gratitude for life. We believe Schoon’s mission aligns with everything we do at CampusKey”
Schoon will officially open their doors in January 2022.
