At CampusKey, we’re proud to support our residents as they pursue their dreams—whether that’s in academics, social life, or even on the global stage. Hayley Hoy, a 16-year-old Olympic swimmer from Swaziland, is one of those extraordinary students. Fresh off her journey to the Paris 2024 Olympics, Hayley shared some highlights of her experience and how CampusKey has been part of her success.
Excitement of Being an Olympian
When Hayley found out she’d been selected for the Olympic Games, she was thrilled. “I was really, really excited to represent my country and experience what it’s like to be an Olympian,” she said. Competing at the Games was an unforgettable experience, filled with both nerves and pride. “The atmosphere was amazing. I was nervous, but I did my best and it was just incredible.”
Balancing Life at CampusKey
Hayley’s dedication to swimming is matched by her commitment to her studies, made possible through online schooling and the supportive environment at CampusKey. “CampusKey provides everything I need to train and study effectively. The study areas, gym, and overall convenience have been crucial for me,” she explained.
Memorable Moments and Advice
For Hayley, the Olympic Games were about more than competition—they were about personal growth and new experiences. “Meeting new people and competing on such a huge stage was unforgettable,” she shared. Her advice to others? “Never give up and always believe in yourself. If you put in the work, nothing can stop you.”
